Don’t care song meaning. Don’t care hurts feelings. Good song.
I wish this was on Spotify this version. I like the tap with the acoustic guitar.

Well the wind it is a-blowin' and I haven’t seen the sun I ain't seen much anything about a month or so Coulda' been much different, yeah, my Momma told me so I never shoulda listened to the things she didn’t know I don't think I'll ever make it home (Swim that muddy water) I don't think I'll ever make it home (To feel the bright sunshine) I don't think I'll ever make it home (Swim that muddy water) I don't think I’ll ever make it home (To feel the bright sunshine) Well, I had a chance to be someone I nevеr been before Took his clothes and wallеt and I left him on the floor I always thought it would be so damn easy to be free Sing myself a different tune, the Man came down on me I don’t think I'll ever make it home (Swim that muddy water) I don’t think I'll ever make it home (To feel the bright sunshine) I don't think I'll ever make it home (Swim that muddy water) I don’t think I'll ever make it home (To feel the bright sunshine) These bars are old and this room is cold and I'm out of cigarettes Sleep is so elusive and my clothes are soakin' wet I think about my sin and as I make my final trek It won't make no difference with that rope around my neck I don't think I'll ever make it home (Swim that muddy water) I don't think I'll ever make it home (To feel the bright sunshine) I don't think I'll ever make it home (Swim that muddy water) I don't think I'll ever make it home (To feel the bright sunshine)
What a great song...😍
God bless hillbilly's from the West coast
That's Virginia you're hearing.
Awesome
Rose from the ashes
Great ! I got to see them once . I didn’t know who they were before . Fantastic ! They stole the show from Headline Band .
LOVED workin your shows! Ma Hackensaw brought her 'Mountain Dew'. Lmao
Hiçbir arkadaşıma önermediğim şarkılar... Sizi seviyorum.
Vay be ilk defa bi türkün bu şarkıyı dinlediğini görüyorum. Helal olsun.
Kentucky. What a disturbing yet beautiful song. Superbly sung, superb, superb musicians. Music that is both raw and rose-beautiful. Cletus Got Shot (strange name for a group) are so mysterious. Came from nowhere, one or two glorious albums, then disappear again. I'm from Adelaide Australia, yet some of their their music draws me as if I lived it in a past life.
Yea i just told my sister kazoos were annoying....but that wasn't to bad
Hey that's me playing fiddle....I was only 21 years old when I joined that band. What a time that was...
So good man...
honestly my favorite song
Saw you playing with Cracker in Pittsburgh way back. This song is so good I assumed it was some legendary classic from the birth of bluegrass. I've never forgotten the show nor the song.
I use to go watch you all back in the day. I wish y’all still played together.
R.i.p.
These guys are the soundtrack to my little buddy, the state will give him back to me in five or six. Ain't life a bitch. great tunes though.
this song made me decide how i want to be buried
Lyrics?
Meth snorting!!!
Blue collar true American hero. Fuck yes
39 people have absolutely no taste. Musical greatness
Sorry 1:44
1:45 that tickle riff
I WAS LOOKING FOR A BAND TO FOLLOW UP THE DEAD SOUTH AND I THINK I FOUND THEM !!!
These bros Leave the dead south way behind And I m a Canadian who grew up in the prairies And I dig both bands Thanks
The best
this is good
And the winner and still champion of kazooing in a song goes to... *drum roll* SPLIT LIP RAYFIELD
Who are the Kenny Chesney listening morons who thumbs this down? Go turn 98.1 back on!
this is great
Great tune!
You should put it on soundcloud
Bluegrass at it's best. Hope that this one and the whole album get's released on Spotify, shortly. Kind of strange because 90% of their other records is available
Beautiful
szuper
there out there
Good ol southern boys
Saw these guys in Indianapolis, at The Patio, husband and I did... bought my youngin' a red onsie with the logo on it... tht tot sure looked sharp in his threads and the ol man and I had a heckuva good time discovering this music - live and boogie'n down in Broadripple that night. Damn fine band.
I'm a HUGE hillbilly music fan. I love the guitars, and the singing of the Allen Bros. But I just don't care for the kazoo.
This is the only band that does the kazoo right. It sounds like a stretched middle finger which fits the snotty attitude of the group.
Excellent song, great band one of my favorites..
R.I.P. Kirk, thanx for everything, you helped me evolve as a musician...
i met him when i first started playing blue grass on the harmonica in k.c. he is one of the people who helped me catch my groove. you are blessed to of gotten to experience his dynamic live, cherish that.
Jesse Williams he brought so much energy to the group, I saw them heeps in Missouri at the Blue Note, what seems like a lifetime ago. I’ve seen them a Few times in the past 5-8 years and as much as I still love the band, it’s not the same without him. He truly was an integral part to the overall atmosphere of SLR!
A classy piece of bluegrass. Especially for yours truly, locked up in a psych ward clucking bad off smack. Wish me luck folks..... T.J. Xx
Super!!!
